  • My elderly father and I both have m.s. my dad uses weed and he takes no other medication for pain. I have 2 small children, 9 and 11 so i cant take the risk of sourcing it myself. I take a total of 52 medications a day for pain depression and anxiety. If only i could get it safely and regulated i just know that at age 37 id be much much better off. Drs take an oath, "do no harm". They're quite happy to get me medically dependant/addicted to serious meds but wont give me a very safe, reliable, regulated & natural alternative. They're ok with me as a mother to be on allll those meds but would vilify me as a mum if i took canabis. We need to be a progressive society and get with the times.

  • I have MS and cannabis is the only thing that effectively manages my pain and, although I can’t prove it, I believe that it’s helped to keep my MS stable and is the reason I can still walk. But I am forced to make myself a criminal just to be pain free and to have something approaching a normal life. It’s wrong and it’s cruel to withhold this effective treatment from people in genuine need. I will take my chances and smoke it illegally until things change. But it is an unjust law!
“An unjust law is itself a species of violence. Arrest for its breach is more so. Now the law of nonviolence says that violence should be resisted not by counter-violence but by nonviolence. This I do by breaking the law and by peacefully submitting to arrest and imprisonment.”
― Mahatma Gandhi, Non-violence in Peace and War 1942-49
